About Future plans.

Currently, we are negotiating with the administration office for Hokudaisai in fall. However , it is expected that the decision on whether or not to hold the event, and the date, will not be made until mid-July.

The following PDF file is a list of measures to be taken to prevent coronavirus infection that we will take if the Hokudaisai is able to be held. Please be sure to read this file if you are going to attend the festival and comply with it.

APRIL 10, 2020

To negotiate postponing Hokudaisai to autumn, on April 16 (Thu), the Administration Office invited HUFEC to discuss once again. The members from HUFEC and it’s office are the same. The proceedings of the meeting will be released shortly after it.

Refraining of Holding 62nd Hokudaisai in June

In today’s Hokkaido University Festival Executive Committee (HUFEC) Meeting, we decided as the HUFEC to refrain holding 62nd Hokudaisai in 2020 June. The proceedings of the meeting will be available shortly on this Website. We will negotiate holding 62nd Hokudaisai in autumn to the Administration Office starting next week.

Regarding the Coronavirus, on March 31 (Tue), the Administration Office invited HUFEC to discuss whether or not Hokudaisai will be held this year. From the HUFEC, the Chief Executive Director Shunsuke Kobayashi, Vice Executive Director Yutaro Okada (also the head of Yuryo-Sai), and Towa Yamane will participate. Also, Tomoaki Kimura will represent as the head of HUFEC Office. The proceedings of the meeting will be released shortly after it. We appreciate your kind support and understanding.

Currently, the Hokkaido University Festival Executive Committee (HUFEC) is preparing to hold the 62nd Hokudaisai. We will make official announcements and updates regarding the Coronavirus, including whether or not Hokudaisai will be held this year by late April. The HUFEC is cancelling/postponing meetings as a measure of prevention against the spreading of the virus. We appreciate your kind support and understanding.
